I always believe that hope keeps the world afloat. For me, hope and conviction always go hand in hand. The hope remains alive only coz of conviction u have in something and vice versa. Also, it's the conviction which translates this hope into reality.
One such hope which is just starting to find its feet in the real world is Kiran. Well, Kiran is that ray of hope i always dreamt of. It would be an understatement to say that Kiran has recently become an important part of my life. For starters, Kiran is the ray of hope that was nurtured an year ago and now is ready to bloom. It all started an year ago when Saurin, Shirya and I were strolling in the greens of National Park. We not only were exploring the woods, but also the minds and dreams. There was always this feeling that we need to do something in some way to better the world around us. The so-called brains of ours were given the task of assisting the hearts. Ideas started coming in, concerns were shared, plans were formulated and hope was instilled. The seeds sown then, are now on their way to reap results.
Kiran has been born out of the same hope. It's right now just a name - not an entity. It's a belief, but not yet complete reality. Presently, it's more of a trust we have on each other, but still to be a registered trust. There are a few of Saurin's friends in US and few of us here in India who have come together for this. Primarily, education for less-privileged ones is the motive. There are endless ways to go about it, but we surely made a small start. We came to know of a school in Matunga which was in dire need of books and other stationery to help start their classes for Xth std students (all from slums), and we duly obliged.
Here we saw something that could be the foundation stone of the towering dreams. The stone has been successfully laid, we need to build on it now !!!
